African Festival United 2026 marks the third annual edition of a rapidly growing pan-African cultural platform hosted in Cape Town.
Previously held at Camps Bay High School, the festival has successfully built community trust and cross-cultural engagement over the past two years.
The inaugural edition was scheduled to be headlined by South African music icon Zahara. While she was confirmed as the headline act, she sadly did not perform due to illness and passed away shortly thereafter.
Her scheduled involvement remains a meaningful part of the festival’s founding story, symbolising the calibre of artists associated with African Festival United and reinforcing its commitment to celebrating African musical excellence and legacy.
